In March 2023 The Cats Whisker Kitchen will be entering its 7th year here in Watchet.

 

The Cats Whisker Kitchen has been a family run business with a passion for non pretentious, simple but exciting flavours from around the Mediterranean. 

Having lived in Spain for 6 years Angela Yon, owner and chef has been inspired to create her  own take on traditional dishes with her own innovative style. Creating a feast of tapas which are not only a visual feast for the eyes but burst with flavours to excite the pallet.

It Encourages Sharing

With so many small dishes on the table, there’s almost no way to eat a Tapas-style meal without sharing with those around you.

And that’s why we love it.

Eating Tapas means building bonds with the people around you. You’re not all just focused on one dish a piece. Instead, you’re passing plates around and constantly taking and sharing the foods that you eat.

Tapas is a great way to bring people together, which makes it ideal for meals with friends and family members.

 

Angela has spent most of her life being inspired by food from all around the world, from her experience as a pop up chef around Bristol, she has brought to Watchet many one off monthly theme evenings. Introducing Indonesian, Moroccan, Mexican, Greek  etc, as one night only extravaganza taster nights, this added bonus will continue to enhance extra interest and excitement to her already extensive menu. With growing interest in Vegetarian and Vegan food, you will see more innovative, and tasty dishes evolving, creating an even larger choice for you veggies out there.

 

For Special traditional celebrations, the Cats whisker’s  Sunday Roast dinner is second to none, so be sure to look out for them too.

For 2021 Angela would like to experiment more, by offering exciting weekly specials to further enhance a solid tried and tested menu.

 

The driving force, the passion that inspires Angela to keep producing wonderful food is the love and appreciation she has continually received over her years in Watchet and she hopes the oncoming year will see that continue.
